hi
i recently bought a Daniel Johnston art book (the one by Philippe Vergne, Jad Fair & Harvey Pekar) , i was disappointed because it featured very few early works by him.
there are currently two other books which feature art by daniel johnston , “Hi, How Are You?: “The Life, Art, & Music of Daniel Johnston” & “Daniel Johnston: The Story of an Artist" , does anyone know if one of these books features a decent amount of early art..?

thanks

I've got the Hi, How Are You? book and it's got a decent amount of art ranging from early to later. A variety is shown but there isn't that much quantity except for the end which holds a decent amount of art and notebook scribblings. There are also pictures of Daniel and other people along with writings and other things.

I found the same thing with the new book (by Rizzoli) - didn't quite hit the mark. "Hi How Are You" book does have quite a bit of older stuff which is amazing but the art is also split up into quarters or sixths of the page which is annoying. I'm also still hoping for a solid book displaying Daniels older works myself.
