I know there's something on the rejectedunknown splash page about European dates , please, is Daniel going to be coming to the UK this year?

(if so, I'll be there big style , and can also maybe help with promotion. I work in PR/Publicity in the day job and would be only too glad to help.)

Only twenty miles from my house!  grin

If there's anything I can do to help out just give me a shout...

Daniel

Thursday 26th May  @   THE CLUNY LIME STREET BYKER    £10.00

DANIEL JOHNSTON ( USA ) + Lone Pigeon & Band (Scotland)

Last year New York’s Gammon Records put out a tribute & best of Daniel Johnston. Tom Waits, Beck & The Flaming Lips covered his tunes & Johnston’s own version’s featured on the other disc. At this year’s SXSW Film Fest, a new film/doc “The Devil And Daniel Johnston” took lots of awards. So the time has finally come for this apprehensive songwriter from Waller Texas.

One of “Fence Collective” from Alloa’s biggest asset’s, ex Beta Band instigator ”Lone Pigeon” support’s with his band. There only playing 5 shows this year, this is one of them!!!

The Evolution Festival website is now up:

www.orangeevolution.co.uk

I was in the Cluny saturday night to see the Legendary Shack Shakers. Nice to hear a few DJ tunes over the PA in anticipation of Dan's visit...

So, any more Yips coming to Newcastle?

It would be good to meet up for a few beers before the show!  grin

Dejected, or whoever knows, will there be more European shows in May, or is this just when more will be announced?

Daniel will play in St-Malô, France in "La route du rock" (12/08). I'm very exited cause i go in these festival every year since 1996 and it's the first time he play here (and only the second time i'll will see Daniel live).
And the line-up contain also so far: Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo, Weding Present, Polyphonic Spree and Mercury Rev.  grin
