I read that Philippe Katerine (french exentric musician) had taken the idea of the cover of his last album from the famous old photo of Daniel with his parents. In addition, in the song "Morts-vivants" (living dead), he quotes DJ, among others artists. Some are described as "pas mort" (not dead), or "vivant" (living, and actually dead). Some like DJ or Sofia Coppola are "not dead", and some are "living", like Syd Barrett. I think it's a sort of weird tribute.
