http://www.rejectedunknown.com/Baby(cut).mp3

about the song "baby, you're driving me crazy song"..that daniel played on
the last tour.
I heard it on the soundtack from the 1990' film Henry: portrait of a serial
killer.
is NOT a daniel johnston song, but a cover.
I don't know the real title, but isn't "baby, you're driving me crazy". I attach the first verse of the song as appears on the film.. I'm sorry for
the quality, but it is recorded directly from the movie.

We've been alerted to the fact that the single line "Baby, you're driving me crazy" is reknown in MANY songs, and that there is one song in particular where the melody accompanying that single line is very similar.

We are assured by Daniel that this song - while the first line is common in many songs - and the melody accompanying that line - while very similar with at least one other artist - is his own song and melody.   The rest of the song bears this out as being Daniel's own.

Here is a recording of Daniel's song from the Montreal live show.  (not Toronto as previously stated)  Thanks, Doug!

Hi, Dejected
First of all, thanks for all of the new features and improvements on the website in the past couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to the "members only" features kicking in.

Now... a question about "Baby You're Driving Me Crazy..." -- The link you provide here identifies it as Toronto, while the information on the main webpage says it's Montreal... what's the correct venue? Do you have the date it was recorded, by any chance?

Thanks,
Doug

Ooops!   Well, let's see.  Are they within 500 miles of each other - that's only 2 inches on my map, so that's "close", right?

Sorry - The MP3 is from a recording at Montreal, not Toronto - the previous message has been EDITED to reflect that.

Thanks, Doug.

I believe the first line/melody of 'Baby, You're Driving Me Crazy' comes from The Sonics' 1965 song 'Psycho'. But yeah, it's certainly not a straightforward cover of that song.
