In the UK at least:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Daniel-Johnston-Phillippe-Vergne/dp/0847832309/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233692443&sr=8-3

My pre-ordered copy (£16.25 delivered) arrived this morning...

I've only had a very quick peek...

(saving this one for xmas...as I do all Dan's stuff)

...but it looks stunning...

...beautifully presented and pages upon pages of art!

Have I slipped into some kind of time machine? I did not think this was due to be released until 20th February. And I thought Xmas had just passed? Are you going to keep the book wrapped until next Xmas?

Having said that, I have a few coffee table books in the cupboard waiting for a coffee table to put them in, and a home to put the coffee table in Smiley

I'm glad to hear that it's better than this first review indicates, although it does contain one great line.    huh

Yeah I got a bit of a surprise when this came through the door...

Amazon.co.uk now list the publication date as Jan 28th.

One very slight word of caution:

The book does concentrate very heavily on Dan's most recent drawings (post 2000).

So as fantastic as it is...

...it's not really the definitive showcase of Dan's artwork I was hoping it would be.

That is an interesting piece of journalism there. I think I spotted the line you are referring to Jeff Smiley
