Hey folks,

How many of you guys are going to the UK shows? I was in the O2 Indigo in London on business a few weeks ago. Daniel will be playing there on the 25th July. It is a really nice venue, with a sort of black marble finish all over. There are two tiers, with a ground floor next to an easily accessible bar. Wherever you are you are really close to the action. It is deceptive in it's size, but it is also really intimate. What is more, if you are heading there straight after work, they have a nice little set of integral cafes and eateries in which you can grab a bite to eat before you go in.

There has been a lot of high profile gigs at that venue of late. I think with the line up it is going to be a really great gig, and probably a very good way to introduce friends to Daniel's music.

On top of all that, I am going to be there too.

So yes, how many of you guys are going to the shows (not forgetting Glasgow 23rd July and Manchester 24th July) and how many friends/family/workmates/casual acquaintances are you taking with you?

By the way guys, I just noticed that there are no booking links on the tour page, so I quickly went and found some:

Glasgow 23rd July - Old Fruit Market: http://www.glasgowconcerthalls.com/whatson/event/74866
Manchester 24th July - New Century House: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/32395
London 25th July - O2 Indigo: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/120040A194473138?artistid=741233&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1?brand=indigo2&camefrom=CFC_UK_AEGIndigo2_WMAIN000000WEB

I hope I see you all there!

From the Plan B Magazine Forum:

<<That was lovely wasn't it? Daniel was on great form, really quite remarkable. No apparent nerves. He was really enjoying himself and bantering away.
Jad Fair's opening set was glorious, with the great man strumming on a child size electric guitar and second guessing the other musicians. It's just a shame he didn't have longer. Indeed, it was a shame each of the acts didn't get longer solo sets, but it was Daniel's show to be fair.
Scout Niblett's short set was stunning, especially the first song (Kiss?), while Norman Blake's set was lovely. A gorgeous acoustic Everything Flows, a cracking new song and a lovely cover of Bevis Frond's He'd Be A Diamond. Mark Linkous didn't play for so long, but when Daniel came on stage to sing the chorus of Beautiful Widow there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
Daniel's set was full of hits - Go, Walking the Cow, Casper The Friendly Ghost, True Love..., Fish, Devil Town... The full band version of Rock This Town was great fun. Scout Niblett's backing vocals worked well too.
Go Daniel!
