Hi, I'm new. I was wondering if there are any Australian fans on this board and If Daniel has any future plans of touring down under. It would mean the WORLD to me to see him live.

How long have you been a fan? How were you introduced to Daniel Johnston?
I have a couple friends in Sydney and have tried to turn them on to Daniel,
they had never heard of him but thought his story was interesting.  cool

For a while now, maybe a year and a half, I'm not sure. My friend told me about the Doco, I looked up some music and really dug it, bought 'Hi, how are you' and 'Continued Story' It blew me away, then I watched the DOCO and that's what clinched it. He's been my favorite artist since. Yeah, I've turned friends onto his music, some like it, some don't, most do though.

So does anyone know if he would travel to Australia, I think he should and I'm sure people would come out and support and it would probably be profitable. Or Maybe I should save up and travel after school, see some shows then.

It doesn't look like he's been to Australia in the past and not much is on the schedule at all for 2009.
I'm looking forward to seeing what Daniel has coming up too. Keep checking back.
