Maybe a little Del Shannon "Runaway" could be added to this mix?
I always thought this was a great song, even almost a Daniel song,
in style if not sentiment. What do you think?

http://www.chordie.com/allsongs.php/songtitle/Runaway/songartist/Del+Shannon/

Lyrics:
As I walk along,
I wonder what went wrong,
With our love, a love that was so strong.
And as I still walk on,
I think of the things we've done
Together, a-while our hearts were young.

I'm a-walkin' in the rain,
Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain,
Wishin' you were here by me,
To end this misery
And I wonder--
I wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder,
Why,
Why, why, why, why, why she ran away,
Yes, and I wonder,
A-where she will stay-ay,
My little runaway,
Run, run, run, run, runaway.

[Musitron solo] *

I'm a-walkin' in the rain,
Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain,
Wishin' you were here by me,
To end this misery
And I wonder--
I wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder,
Why,
Why, why, why, why, why she ran away,
Yes, and I wonder,
A-where she will stay-ay,
My little runaway,
Run, run, run, run, runaway.
Run, run, run, run, runaway.
Run, run, run, run, runaway.

* The 1961 song "Runaway" by Del Shannon. The song features a famous solo by Max Crook, performed on a heavily-modified clavioline that Crook called the "Musitron".

THAT was fun! I really enjoyed your interpretation, Dan, and kudos to your friend Matt for the guitar solo.

Thank you!  grin

I've really blown my musical load

I'm taking a one day refractory period

But there will still be content today

Here's my folder of incomplete or otherwise messed-up songs

Enjoy (if possible)

Check this one out. Short and sweet, and I think you could rock it:

Cat Stevens 'But I Might Die Tonight" from "Tea For the Tillerman."

Chords:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/119379/stevens-cat-but-i-might-die-tonight-chords

Lyrics:
Dont want to work away
Doin just what they all say
Work hard boy and youll find
One day you'll have a job like mine

'Cause I know for sure
Nobody should be that poor
To say yes or sink low
Because you happen to say so, say so, you say so

I dont want to work away
Doing just what they all say
Work hard boy and you'll find
One day youll have a job like mine, job like mine, a job like mine

Be wise, look ahead
Use your eyes he said
Be straight, think right
But I might die tonight!

Hope you're getting out and enjoying the sunshine once in awhile too, Dan! grin
Gotta make that Vitamin D, you know...
