Just a warning that I got a private message here from an African scam artist. I'm sure this subhuman has targeted others here as well. One of those Nigerian bastards actually confronted my elderly father on the street in San Antonio and was wiley enough to con him out of $4000 from his paltry savings. The worm didn't offer any profits, he simply called upon my father's spirit as a Christian to help him, then disappeared with his money.

BEWARE these creeps -- they know how to worm their demonic tentacles into your mind and soul, and they have NO conscience of their own!

They laughed when I sat down at the piano.
They didn't think that I could play.
But their laughter turned to amazement,
When I got back up and carried it away...

What is this!?

Isn´t it common sense not to give someone you dont know money etc.?

I have lent a lot of money to people(to ones i did not even know) but always with somesort of deposit(if the bum never pays, i can sell the junk(usually worth more than the money lent).

Or, as i have regarded lending to friends, if someone pays up i can keep on lending(no charge), but if the lender dissapears then that amount was what the friendship was worth.

If i send money around the world(for art, i used to buy alot of Daniel Johnston drawings) i am prepared to lose that money(i do not send the money i need for food or rent).

Basic guidelines.

I AM sorry about your father having to lose his savings, dont get me wrong.

Be on the lookout out there.

Just wanted to add some sobering FACTS:

15% of all people have at least one personality disorder -
the scumbags you speak of, notdaniel, would be the ones with antisocial personality disorder... no conscience...

Sorry that your dad got taken.
Thanks for alerting the forum that an A-hole got on here and is targeting people - what's the ID?
...hope you alerted Dick via private message, too...

PS - to read about personality disorders (typically non-treatable), see:

(typically non-treatable)

no cure for these conditions, but therapy and medication can help.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad, but not everyone is a SCUMBAG,
"he simply called upon my father's spirit as a Christian to help him".
I know of worthy causes and good people raising money to set up home/school
for African women that would otherwise be on the street.
So a dialect, accent, or color of our skin does not a SCUMBAG make.

This serves as a lesson to all of us to make our parents aware that some people are out to con them
and to be sure to check with someone they trust before handing over any amount of money.

Most banks now days look out for the welfare of their elderly customers and even question large
withdrawls being made with caregivers and children present.
Some kids and caregivers are SCUMBAGs.

Again I'm sorry for your dads loss, have you contacted the authorities and filed a report?
Often times when scam artists are out and about getting something on the local news,
radio and TV, or papers will help save someone else from being taken.

Don't you have to be a member here to PM a member?
It would be interesting to know if anyone else got hit.

My e-mail account gets spammed all the time with heartbreaking stories of someone
that needs my bank account. It's a good thing my mother doesn't have a computer.

The perpetrator used what I know to be a typical ploy among Nigerian scam artists. The bulk of the email scammers (like the one who PMed me) are based in Nigeria -- this has been covered on a lot of TV investigational programs.

My father is elderly and doesn't think as clearly as he once did, and he comes from a time when people were more trusting as well.

And yes, despite his embarrassment and shame over falling for this soulless predator, we made sure he called the cops as soon as we found out what had happened.

Please be careful. It is recommended that we give no money to any panhandler here in our city. We are to refer them to any police officer who can direct them to a shelter or aid facility.
