I am in awe

I've been working on this film project, the organising, the shoot and the post production for a few months now, and I've got to say, even as I sit her at 10 past 11pm at night prepared a rough edit, I am still in awe at the performance, the beauty in the music and the lyrics of Daniel Johnston. I have listened to these songs hundreds of times now, and I am still absorbing the complexities hidden in the weight of the lyrics.

This guy should go down and one of the all time great composers, and as you lot are my witness I am going to do my best to ensure our film serves as lasting testament to one of his unique and soulful performances.  That is my word.

Rob- Your sincerity and your rapture are a wonderful combination. I have no doubt this has been a life affirming (if not life-changing) experience for you. Only a few have gotten as close to the source...the ceation of the MUSIC, as you have. To then bring your own art into the mix, your film making and sound recording skills, makes this particular project all the more magical. One need only read a few lines of your posts to know you have approached this whole thing with nothing but Love.

Daniel's Virus of Love: It spreads slowly, but once it grabs ahold of your heart, you're forever altered.
