yes definitely, take him shopping for a print! that sounds great.
maybe more than one, if they're that inexpensive. or maybe he'll think of something else... since he is so particular, maybe it's good to let him choose the bulk of it, and just keep a couple surprises

ahem just to clarify i should say i would recognize dan's voice anywheres-- except that i was listening to the cd for first time on my computer at work which makes everything sound crappy - so that's why i was confused at first...

this pic makes me sad, reminds me of a sad movie i saw when i was a kid of a boy who liked a little bird, then saw some of his friends throwing rocks at it, and eventually he joined in, and then there was just a scene of the squashed bird, with stones still being chucked at it. it makes me sick everytime i think of it.

people seem to get so "possessive" of dan..... you seem like a genuinely nice and authentic person who obviously cares about dan and isn't trying to "exploit" him in any way. so- god bless.
once again i've been out of loop and haven't been following this thread til just now so i hope the improvement in his health continues, please let us know! and when you visit give him a hug from 'judy/cheddarcat in boston,' if he remembers me& it seems appropriate.. etc. etc.

hey i just heard this great band last night, okkervil river, & i bought their first cd from 2001 ["don't fall in love w/ everyone you see"] and there's this one song on there, "happy hearts," and i was listening to it thinking "GOD this guy is channeling daniel johnston for this song!" then i started thinking-- wait a minute-- that IS daniel johnston -- looked in liner notes & there it was, daniel johnston on vocals for song no. 6!!!

anyhow it's a great CD and the song danl does vocals on sounds really nice so i highly recommend.

i will contribute $20
