Mabel Johnston, Daniel's mother, passed away Wednesday afternoon, 9/16/10.
Our heart felt prayers and good intentions go out to Daniel, his father Bill, and to the Johnston family.

There will be a funeral at the church of Christ in Katy, Texas on Sunday.

Gibby did an amazing job with the new Evan Dando/Lemonheads project. I'd welcome that combination as well, (though it might not be the best thing for Daniel.)

I had a similar sensation, and I've been listening to Daniel for well over a decade.
When I first got the tapes, I played them over and over and over. Headphones even. I didn't know anything about Daniel. My only doorway was through his music. I wasn't sure if he was alive or when he was actually making these tapes. I became a man obsessed. That's just the magic of these songs, and believe me, it is indeed magic.
