Me too. I'd never heard of Daniel until I watched the DVD a few weeks ago and thought "why have I never heard of this guy?". I was pulled into his story because of the similiarities. I'm about his age, I was an artistic kid who was into drawing and the Beatles, I withdrew into myself during adolescence, had bad depression, I made crude recordings of my own songs using cheap cassette players, which was kind of a therapy for me...the only differences were I didn't have a religious upbringing and didn't have Daniel's courage and chutzpah to go out and promote my music. It's like a great new world has been opened up to me with Daniel's music. I kind of see him as the artistic torchbearer of my generation (whereas before I didn't believe there was one). Anyway, I'm a big fan.
