Well, anything Daniel-related is always amazing. But you just can't explain in words how you feel when you see him take the stage and start playing.

It will always be a memory I will never forget.

I just watched the feature of the show in Denver on the main page (news). And I just want to say... I LOVE DANIEL!!!

That's all I wanted to say.

Also, I was at the show at Turner Hall in WI, and after the show I so badly wanted to meet him and get his autograph. But as luck would have it, though I tried to get back stage and I waited after the show for him to exit, I never got to meet him. Which made me very sad because while I was outside on a smoke brake waiting for Daniel to come on I heard people talking about how they just met him. I was SO JEALOUS!

I felt the same way upon my first few listens, but those are really great songs. The ones that really stick out to me in terms of "great Johnston numbers" are: "I'm A Song, You Ruined it For Yourself, Scattered Like Birds, Void, I'm Nervous, Cosmic Kid, Love Is Weird, Burn Baby Burn, No Fun, I'm Gonna Buy Me A Car, How I Love The Organ Music, and The Wedding.


myohmy - I just got Fear Yourself and if you like Fun it's worth a listen.

The "Silly Love" on Fun is the studio version. I believe live versions appear on 'Live at the SXSW' and on 'Why Me'.

Sorry to bring this old thread out of the cellar but is this album still getting it's domestic release on the Yip Eye label?
I believe it was slated for an '07 or '08 release. If anyone has any info on this please share it.

I think I'm in love...

I so can not wait for this. Daniel's on stage performances are so unbelievable. He blew me away last time I saw him. Now I'm going to see him when he comes to Wisconsin
and I can't wait! I know this DVD is going to be great not only because of Daniel's amazing songs being played live for people who love them but because of his genius in writing new songs that we love instantly as if we always knew them. That is why I'm looking forward to seeing him live and getting this DVD, the new songs that we don't have. PS- Daniel, my brother wants you to play Funeral Home when you play in Milwaukee and You've Got To Hide Your Love Away.
