There's no chance of me getting to Sundance, I have a 10 month old one on the way just brought a house and live in the most issolated city in the world (Perth, W.A., Australia) PLEASE someone record these performances both Daniel and Will Oldham. Please with a cherry on top... Title: It will NOT be Will Oldham after all! Post by: dejected on December 22, 2004, 07:06:38 PM This just in:
They were unable to work the details of Will Oldham being there, so it will be Craig Armstrong and Yo La Tengo who also perform that evening (Jan 26th) at the Music Cafe. I don't know any more details than that. To keep up with current info, see: http://www.sundance.org Title: In Brief Post by: dejected on January 30, 2005, 01:08:59 PM In brief, the performances on Wednesday went over well.
Daniel followed Craig Armstrong with acoustic guitar numbers and then some numbers on the baby grand piano. They quickly set up a chord organ after his last piano number and Daniel did "Walking the Cow". Halfway through the Yo La Tengo show, Daniel got on stage with them to do the Beatles "909", and then "Speeding Motorcycle". Daniel's voice was pushed to the edge in the last number but he managed to end the song well! |
