This song was never, NEVER practiced in Bill and Mabel's basement. I should know, because I recorded every practice session there on a boombox. Shades of older Danny songs, eh? "A Ghostly Story" was a one off in the geo dome studio of the most wonderful Chuck Picklesimer. Chuck had no clue about the genius of Danny, but that's a story for another thread. So, here's the story of "A Ghostly Story".
When we were in Chuck's studio the "Eye Band", of which four members were of my own group called "Trees, Walking", used to warm up, and this was after some delivered pizza and the soda pop I brought in a big damn cooler, with a song I wrote called "Hole In My Soul". In it's orginal form it's a really HARD ROCK song, and if any of you would like to hear it I can send it to you. But as a warm up it got all of our fingers working properly.

So, with Kramer in the studio, and we "Eye Band" warming up he listened. Little did I know that eventually he would request the song. Danny, with his trusty notebook in hand, eventually showed Kramer the lyrics he wrote for "A Ghostly Story". Kramer was instantly enamored of the lyrics. And what's not to love? It's a dream Danny had and he woke up and penned it. It was Kramer stated, "Why don't we try the band playing that warm up music try to add it to Daniel's lyrics?" And BAM, that's what happened. "A Ghostly Story" was hit in ONE TAKE. ONE!! Kramer mixed it immediately and thus became the song. Now, how cool is that?
And I do want to proclaim that I am not crowing about this song. I was incredibly please that my original music was used on "Artistic Vice". And that's all the platitudes I need.
