Ok i'll give Fake Records of Rock 'n Roll a try. For the instrumental part do all barre chords and make them seventh chords if you want. it sounds good that way, but changing the C, C#, D to sevenths is kinda tricky, at least for me.
G
Get down boogie like never before
C7 D7
Fake records of rock and roll
G
hold on tight and don't let go
C7 D7
fake records of rock and roll
C7
when the people walk into that record store
G
fake records of rock and roll
The people go shopping and they lay their money down
C7 D7
Fake records of rock and roll
G
It sounds just like and the people don’t know
C7 D7
Fake records of rock and roll
C7
When they turn on that stereo
G
Fake records of rock and roll, look out!
Instrumental break: G, G#, A, Bb, B, Bb, A
C, C#, D, D, C#, C, C, C#, D, D, C#, C, C, C#, D, G
G
Got their money and they lay it down
C7 D7
Fake records of rock and roll
G
Fork it over and they dig the sound
C7 D7
Fake records of rock and roll
C7
They listen all day and they just don’t know
G
Fake records of rock and roll, look out
(another instrumental break: see above)
C7 G
Well it used to be you’d hear the rock and roll plays
C7 D
But the people nowadays just turn their heads and walk away
Am7 D Am7 D Am7
Since the day the music died
G
Well it sounds just like **** to me
C7 D7
Fake records of rock and roll
G
The ruin of history
C7 D7
Fake records of rock and roll
C7
Cant even get down and boogie
G
Fake records of rock and roll, look out
(back to the instrumental, but only the first part, not the part that goes C, C#, D)
(he always says "look out" here on the last A)
Look out
Look out
Look out
I guess that nowadays they just don't know
I'm not sure about the last chord, but it sounds kind of like a B.

Bump. It's a shame to see things so slow around here when I know Daniel has more fans than ever. This thread had slipped to page three so I'm hoping the bump to page one might help.

I contributed a bunch of chords and tabs in the past but with a new baby I just haven't had the time. I agree with Jeff - it needs to come back to life. I'm sure many are still watching the message board, but few are posting. I believe March had only 1 post! I'll try to get some new chord charts in the future. If there are any requests for chords I'd be happy to try and post them soon.
I took a little break from DJ - now I'm just beginning to listen again. It's been refreshing. Been really enjoying the later albums recently - Rejected Unknown and Lost and Found in particular.

Congratulations on the baby, Zach.
Thanks largely to your contributions, I think this is the most important thread in the history of the message board so on behalf of everyone who has ever learned a song with the help of this thread, thank YOU.

Thanks! I love this - the baby's digging it too....
Daniel occasionally plays A7 and D7 instead of regular A and D
A7
A D E7
She invited me to a pity party
Every hour everyone was making fun of me
I told her it really didn’t matter
You can’t imagine what it’s done to my personality
C F G7
I don’t know where she should go, but I lose
Though I tried, like a lullaby, I lose
A D E7
Once I saw her in a crazy dream
She was laughing, I looked the other way
Then I find that she unwinds, she puts me down behind my back
Everyone seems to have a love but me, it’s what I lack
C F G7
I’ve been denied the hurt inside, I lose
Though she was barely a friend of mine, I lose
I got left out of the “in” crowd
They speak as if I was there
They say the cruelest things, I seen their type
A bunch of buttwipes that rule
C F G7
Don’t make sense, it’s really strange, I lose
Though I try, there’s no sense giving up, I lose
I walk the second mile, there’s no one there, I lose
I pick up the pieces of my broken dream, I lose
Everyone had their fun, I lose
A D E7
Yet she was a one of them from the beginning
How am I to carry on, there’s no help given
Then I realize it’s all reoccurrence
What they’re thinking, their mind is a blur
C F G7
I seen the future, and I ain’t even there, I lose
I see it all, and it’s really, the same old thing, I lose
They think they’re smart, all huddled together, I lose
One more time, I try to make it, I lose
A7 D7 E7
I lose, I lose
Tell me about it, darlin’, now

Does anyone have the music for "It's Over" (Continued Story)? I've scoured the internet and come up empty-handed.
This thread is amazing to read through, BTW. I wish I had a fraction of your folks's ability.

... Well, maybe someday.
In the meantime, here's a minor contribution from me. I took the detailed notes on "Walking the Cow" by zack26 and turned it into bonafide sheet music. You can download it here:
http://www.muppetlabs.com/~breadbox/music/Daniel_Johnston-Walking_the_Cow.pdf
There's nothing important in there that isn't already in zack26's original notes, but as a piano player I find it much easier to follow in this form. Maybe someone else here will as well.
I did my best to follow zack's instructions, but I have to admit to having a tin ear, so there may still be some minor mistake in there. I would welcome corrections. (The sheet music was created using a program called GNU LilyPond, so it's generally very easy to make changes.)
Enjoy, and thanks to zack26 and everyone else for sharing in this thread.
