The word "is" has been replaced in all threads with a silly word??? desu!

Up the top under "Yip! Jump Board" is the word "HACKED?!" and also their are to new threads to post in.

Can anyone else see this? Or have i smoked toooooooo much.

Hmmm....I'll be on the look out.  But I have no idea how to fight hackers.  This has happened once before with a guy posting loads of crap in posts.

I S ?  Drew still in charge of the site?  Maybe he can help.

looks like we have been hacked. These phpBB board do apparently have some security holes - another forum I visit regularly had something similar recently.

Sorry, I don't know any details of how to fix it, if it has happened, maybe there's a security upgrade of the software that could be applied (?)

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't gotten to this earlier, I've been at work all day. I'm not sure what's going on exactly, but apparently someone has signed on as me and then banned me from the forums. I've unbanned myself (as you can see, lol) and I'm looking into what's going on.

Great thanks to our forum Moderators! For keeping the forum under control when something like this happens!

I'm probably going to temporarily disallow Guest postings (so don't be surprised when you forget to login and try to post only to get an error message! Quite possibly it is a bot (not too sure as I haven't seen any of the posts that happened)... I've had this problem on my blog quite a lot and had to do some little re-writes to make them go away.

I'll keep ya posted.

Thanks  Cheesy

Ok, I've updated the forums. Hopefully that fixed the problem. I didn't read all the updates and changelogs though. I saw something about anyone being able to get Admin access with the way the old phpBB handled sessions. So that is fixed.

We are actually in the process of getting hihowareyou.com switched over to a new server. Not too sure when that will happen as I've put in the request for over a week now. So if the site suddenly acts all screwy one day, don't worry! The site has just switched over and I haven't fixed all the kinks yet.  Tongue

I'm hoping in that switch to launch a few new things, one of those being a new Forum using either VBulletin or Simple Machines. They are much more flexible and advanced messageboards than phpBB is.

Other launches may include a new store I've been working on that will result in faster processing and shipping times, meaning ya'll get things quicker... and no more possibility of you trying to buy art that's already sold. I'm excited about it! Cheesy

Other features of the new server will include a shorter easier way to access main sections of the website, such as the forums will now be accessible at http://messageboard.hihowareyou.com.

Anyway, thanks again guys, talk to ya later

drewjoh-

Good work, Captain America! You've saved us all once again.

At first I thought, Jeez, this N.Y.Times Poopiepants Holden guy must have alot of time on his hands...but now I know it was just a bottom feeding douchebag.

Here's to Instant Karma, everybody!!! (this means you, you pastie-faced chronic masturbator)

Till next time, hopefully.

Hmmm. Last time I checked in, on April Fools' Day, the entire last year of posts had vanished, and everything stopped at March 31, 2004! Noone else has mentioned this as being part of the hacking, so I wonder if that was just my stupid computer? All seems to be well now, anyways.
