'ST 37 - The Gypsy's Curse / Crab Nebula 7" $4.99 (Prospective Records)
1993 single - cover art done by Daniel Johnston'

I guess there must be quite a lot of releases which Dan did art for but didn't perform on....

Maybe a new section could be added to the discography?

Well, just offhand...

* The Rhythm Rats' debut LP is loaded with Dan drawings - front cover and lotsa little illos on the inner sleeve (I'm picking up a copy in a couple of days, so I can provide more info then)

* At least one other ST-37 disc, I'm pretty sure.

* The Atlantic Records' Xmas promo CDs You Sleigh Me and So This Is Christmas (the latter also features the Dan track "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer)

* And of course the three 7" tribute records to Dan, as well as the back cover to Kathy McCarty's Dan tribute CD.

That's all that comes to mind right now...

  - Not Daniel

(FYI: The drawing on the previously mentioned ST-37 record is one that Dan did for band member Scott Telles, back when Scott worked at the Austin mental hospital and Dan was a patient).

They laughed when I sat down at the piano.
They didn't think that I could play.
But their laughter turned to amazement,
When I got back up and carried it away...

I'll let y'all know as soon as I see one at Waterloo Records - they're supposed to keep an eye out. I was wondering if it was a forgotten project until I saw that scan of the sleeve earlier in this thread.

(Oh, the Rhythm Rats LP is called Equipment Check, and I may be able to put a pic of the cover drawing up here in a couple days)
