20 years is a great run .it breaks my heart the tapes are gone
but somthing tells me if he had a choice he would do it for another 20 .

Actually, the official red & gold embossed stickers that Jeff had made up a few months ago read "Stress Records 25th Anniversary: 1981-2006". I'm quite sure that the irony of the stickers marking the tapes' epitaph was unintentional on his part.

Oh, and as far as what Stress Records was doing in 1981, before establishing its' connection with Daniel Johnston, I'm afraid I have no idea whatsoever. The only other acts I recall being involved with the label came later: Pork, the fantastically brilliant Happy Family, and... Texas Instruments at one point, maybe?
