Sounds like 80's to me. But I thought I read somewhere around 1993 or 1994. Doubtful.

The "Goobers" compilation was released in 1993 - the piano style sounds like 90's Daniel.  I haven't heard him use that bouncing left/right alternating pattern on any pre-90's material.  It has a similar sound to many of the Why Me songs (Like A Dream, Wedding Bell Blues, Tuesday Waltz, Try To Love).  Several of these songs showed up on more recent releases (Rejected Unknown, Lost and Found) but it's my understanding that many were written in the early-mid 90's.  That time period has always been a bit fuzzy for me as far as figuring out which songs were written when.

I hadn't heard this song before.  Here's a link to "Pinny Pinny" (and the rest of the Goobers comp, courtesy of WFMU).  It's a good one.
