I just bought tickets to the Highline Festival show for May 16th. Daniel IS playing there, right? It basically said that he was, but there was a little room for interpretation - can anyone confirm that this is indeed a daniel johnston show? I know there will be some other artists (that I care nothing for, but could make an impression) there.

It's kind of a special night, because my brother just moved to New York and we've developed a sort of "bond " in Daniel's music. I'll be flying in from Indiana and so we're going to make a 3 day mini-vacation out of it.

Can anyone tell me what to expect- what not to expect - what the atmosphere might be like? Just curious - thanks!

Yeah, that's his show.  I just tried to get tix myself and it's already sold out.  D'oh!

I couldn't say what to expect though.  I know that's a brand new venue.  The festival is spread out over 10 days, really just a series of shows.  more info here:
