Check it out, kids!

I just cobbled together a new Daniel Johnston video, by utilizing around ten seconds' worth of wobbly footage showing Dan meandering around at a picnic, along with assorted travelogue stock footage, and then randomly interspersing the stuff together and depending heavily on the magic of slo-mo to stretch it all out to song length.

It's what you might call a "mood piece".

Actually, it's better than my description might make it sound (or at least I certainly HOPE so!) and unless I'm terribly mistaken, the song I chose to add visuals to is one nobody here has heard before. It's called "Grievance" (singular) and it's Daniel's own variation on the timeless minstrel ballad "Greensleeves".

Please tell me what you think of my efforts, so I know whether I should bother to make and/or post more of these things:

Oh, in case you missed any of the previous offerings:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcATj7uG5bU  [Rejected '97]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=573eYCQKCOM  [Funeral Home '86]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNWotMkoSHQ  [I'm a Believer '97]

And while you're there, why not try a slice of Not Daniel Johnston?:

Hope you dig it!

I like it... liked the Star Wars-style segue toward the end too. I have very much the same guitar as the one you're play in Milking the Dog, by the way...

http://jampotcomics.blogspot.com

George Lucas stole that segue idea from me, dammit!

That's my daddy's old Kay guitar I'm playing in the "Milking the Dog" clip. (corrected link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ5T3Kikkic)
Daniel's played it a couple of times, and he plays so hard he gouged deep furrows into the wood! I had let the pick-guard come unscrewed, but even if it had been on the thing, Dan still would've tore it up, cuz he plays SO hard it digs in on BOTH sides of the strings!!!
