It's to jump on the bandwagon of belief that the US is evil and is a source of misery in the world. I'm ready to get the troops out of Iraq and let the Iraqis solve their own problems, BUT the idea that the United States is evil, or a "beast" is absolute stupidity. We are the first ones the world calls when there's a tsunami, earthquake, famine, etc. We are being asked to intervene in Darfur's genocide, we sent 100 billion to the tsunami victims. The funny thing is, the islamic nations and Israel seem to get a free pass on everything, and the US is blamed for everything.

I'm not crazy about W Bush, but some people are sickeningly obsessive about finding anti-US sentiments in EVERYTHING. I'm sure there are codes in Daniel's art predicting George Bush conspiring to blow up the twin towers as well. Nice. Real nice.

u cant accept the truth fool. i was stating that in one of daniels pieces of artwork he drew a big fat beast with horns with U.S.A. written in the beast. In that same piece of artwork he had drew two other beasts but with no horns and not fat. i am simply stating how daniel feels about the world and fortunately u cant erase his artwork. U also cant take away the fact that his creativity is beyond your mind. THANKYOU

oh and another thing if u are saying that i am trying to find anti U.S. sentiments in his artwork how can i try to find it? Its there u idiot and u know its there right in front of your face.Maybe your in denial of it and if u are then u are in denial of daniel johnston.If daniel draws a pic of a big fat beast with horns with the letters USA written in the middle u cant deny that. daniel wears baseball caps with U.S.A printed on them too, but there is absolutely no hidden meaning in that. his father is a decorated world war two veteran, and he's proud of that. there's no hidden meaning in that.
daniel just has a splendid sense of humour. something that some do not possess.
