Question: Are any of the other early cassettes (like The What of Whom) ever going to be released on actual pressed CDs, as opposed to CD-Rs? I'm never sure of their shelf life... what happened to Dualtone's reissues, anyway (y'know, the ones that began with the Songs of Pain tapes)?

I guess maybe the deal with Dualtone fell through sometime after The Early Recordings were released.

I have Retired Boxer/Respect on the CD-R and it's a pretty good recording (remastered and such). I play atleast once every two days and it has started to mess up in any way, shape, or form.

my copy of Retired Boxer/Respect is on a silver cd within the cardboard case, not cdr unless its a silver cdr
I think it would be awesome if they put out some sort of box set of the cassette recordings like the cdr 5 pack but with more notes and stuff

If it were anybody else but Daniel, I wouldn't buy them on cdr. However, CdRs are the closest things to cassettes these days, so its the next best thing. And from what I can see from the images in the store, I like the packaging.

Long story about that.l was reading the online version of the Houston Chronicle, and there was a story about some musical some children's choir put on. I'm...kind of uncomfortable with what comes next.

I forget what exactly the musical's name was, but the picture caught my eye and was curious about it so I clicked the link.I then noticed that the musical had something to do with Asian culture, and damned if both pictures up had kids doing things to their eyes that to me (and a few others) took as being possibly racist or at the very least offensive to people of Asian descent. As I'm using my work computer, I cannot save it to my hard drive, but I'd like to keep it on file because I'm going to email a complaint. Even though it doesn't affect me personally, it does in a sense.

That reminds me...I keep forgetting to actually send that email...

edit

Pointless now...looks like the pics off the website. Guess someone beat me to it....
