Daniel has given me very specific instructions not to discuss his business affairs with overly nosy relatives.

I just spoke with Daniel's dad (my grandpa) who spoke directly with Daniel about this. Daniel denies having ever said anything like that to Jeff.

Daniel comes in tonight for a movie after church, so I'll have a chance to get all the facts then.

To post a picture, when replying or creating a new post, click "Addition Options" under the area where you type your message. This will open up another section of the form.  smiley

I guess I'm too dense to see where you said "no, I don't"... Ok, so that's a no? You don't buy art from Daniel for $10?

I too apologize to the board for being so dense.
34  General Discussion / Fan Forums / Re: eBay on: April 06, 2005, 03:27:04 PM
The negative repercussions being that Daniel doesn't get his $10 spending money and you don't get art?

If Daniel is selling you art for $10, and that's all he gets, then maybe Daniel isn't as smart with business decisions as you insist?

I completely forgot about the upload area... I'll restore those folders and get that system back up as soon as I can.

I was told by Dan's manager that I could discuss it, and that you could too, hence me commenting on this. As I understand it you give him $10 per piece of art, is that information incorrect?

ok - inform me

Dan doesn't really get money from the sale of art at the museum of love. Dan gets at most about $10/piece.

Can someone who's privileged cut and past the article?  grin
40  News and Info / News & Announcements / Welcome to the new forums! on: April 02, 2005, 07:20:44 PM
I've successfully converted everything over to our new forums, but I still have a lot of work to do! As of right now (April 2nd), this isn't how the forums will look in the end.

All posts and users are current up to March 31st. Let me know if there are any problems.

Enjoy! grin
41  General Discussion / Fan Forums / Have we been hacked ? on: March 31, 2005, 05:41:59 PM
Ok, I've updated the forums. Hopefully that fixed the problem. I didn't read all the updates and changelogs though. I saw something about anyone being able to get Admin access with the way the old phpBB handled sessions. So that is fixed.

We are actually in the process of getting hihowareyou.com switched over to a new server. Not too sure when that will happen as I've put in the request for over a week now. So if the site suddenly acts all screwy one day, don't worry! The site has just switched over and I haven't fixed all the kinks yet.  Tongue

I'm hoping in that switch to launch a few new things, one of those being a new Forum using either VBulletin or Simple Machines. They are much more flexible and advanced messageboards than phpBB is.

Other launches may include a new store I've been working on that will result in faster processing and shipping times, meaning ya'll get things quicker... and no more possibility of you trying to buy art that's already sold. I'm excited about it! Cheesy

Other features of the new server will include a shorter easier way to access main sections of the website, such as the forums will now be accessible at http://messageboard.hihowareyou.com.

Anyway, thanks again guys, talk to ya later

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't gotten to this earlier, I've been at work all day. I'm not sure what's going on exactly, but apparently someone has signed on as me and then banned me from the forums. I've unbanned myself (as you can see, lol) and I'm looking into what's going on.

Great thanks to our forum Moderators! For keeping the forum under control when something like this happens!

I'm probably going to temporarily disallow Guest postings (so don't be surprised when you forget to login and try to post only to get an error message! Quite possibly it is a bot (not too sure as I haven't seen any of the posts that happened)... I've had this problem on my blog quite a lot and had to do some little re-writes to make them go away.

I'll keep ya posted.

Thanks  Cheesy

In general swapping recordings of live shows happens all the time. Nothing wrong with that.

I would ask that you give credit where credit is due. Give reference on your site that this is Daniel Johnston.

Also include Daniel's name and the song title in the ID3 tag of the MP3. This is so that when someone else downloads it and passes it on to a friend, they can still see who it is.

Then if you really would like to include a link to rejectedunknown.com  Cheesy

Which show did you get?
44  General Discussion / Website Forum / New Site Members Area? on: September 20, 2004, 11:55:22 AM
Yeah, sure enough, someone was doing a little "spring cleaning" on the website file structure and moved the members_only directory. We'll have it moved back here pretty soon though.

I may just take you up on your offer to help test out the new site here during the next month. I have plans to better it and perfect it, but no time! Hopefully by the end of the next month we'll be able to switch to the new site completely and permenantly. We just had too many hick-ups with the last launch of the new site.

Take care!
45  General Discussion / Website Forum / New Site Members Area? on: September 20, 2004, 06:37:32 AM
Hey dbeefy

Sure enough, it looks like the entrie members_only directory has been deleted. I'll look into that more.

You can access the old members area (I think it's a little more up to date than the newer one right now anyways) by going to the news page http://www.rejectedunknown.com/feature.htm, scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page, and clicking on the word "BOTTOM". It doesn't look like a hyperlink but it is.  Cheesy

Let me know if you have any trouble, and I'll make a post here later once I figure out what happened to the members area on the new site.[/url]
