1  General Discussion / Album Chat / Sinning Is Easy EP on: November 05, 2009, 07:49:00 PM
Does anybody know where to find Sinning Is Easy in any form? The track Sinning is Easy is available on the MP3 of the Week, but that's it. I'd really like to get a copy (MP3, Vinyl, anything) but I can't find it anywhere. Any help? huh

This is the album:

Since I bought the album from itunes, I have the song, and it's good, but it seems it was an itunes exclusive. You can't buy it on YipEyeTunes, and I guess it's not on the CD either. The song has the quality of the other songs on the album. Maybe it was a marketing ploy. undecided

I believe the same thing can be accomplished by muting your tv.  grin

Now there's Is and Always Was, which I like quite a bit. It seems to have a bit more variety than other post-2000 albums, but that doesn't necessarily make it any better.

P.S.
That was quite a statement shloonktapooxis.  tongue

I've got the Hi, How Are You? book and it's got a decent amount of art ranging from early to later. A variety is shown but there isn't that much quantity except for the end which holds a decent amount of art and notebook scribblings. There are also pictures of Daniel and other people along with writings and other things.

I want pictures.  grin

I think this is nearly impossible to answer (unless possibly Drew Johnston could answer). But, if you are looking for one, I suggest searching thrift stores and just listening for the right sound.

Yes, Ron English seems to be one of the closest friends of Daniel (but I can be wrong of course). I find this picture (http://www.popaganda.com/photos/2007Dan/pages/dan%20sleeping.html) to be a good view of their friendship. Wonderful picture too.
12  General Discussion / Album Chat / 1990 on: September 02, 2009, 01:19:10 PM
I've found 1990 to be the best album by Daniel that wasn't produced by himself. It seems to me the only album that is really focused on Daniel and the raw heart-felt music he makes. I like the later albums too, but 1990 is a real gem to me. Any thoughts?
13  General Discussion / Fan Forums / Wornfree's Hi, How Are You? Shirt on: April 27, 2009, 08:29:45 PM
It has been posted before but I'd like to discuss this a bit more. Not only is it $35.00 more, but they spelled Johnston wrong in the description.

I'm assuming they're allowed to do this because of Daniel's art not having any copyright protection. Like Crumb's "Keep On Truckin'" being reproduced everywhere. Still, I hope people have their spending money directed to the source more then they do towards a recreation of it. Plus it would save them quite a lot of money.

Any thoughts?

I've found that when I listen to Daniel's music I like to be isolated and feel sucked in. But I still think it's a good and fitting video.
