i dont know if you're familiar with kathy mc carty 's tribute to daniel's songs but if you dont i strongly suggest you try to get it !!!
that record has the same effect on me than daniels best work , it's absolutely wonderful , seriously . you should hear her versions of Museum of Love , I had a dream , or Grievances... they're amazing , but each one of the 19 tracks on the album are great really . shes got one of the loveliest female voice i've heard in all my life - full of joy and sadness at the same time like daniel's . its more easy-listening than daniels versions but its not mainstream ; it has a kind of lo-fi spirit but its definitely great-sounding and well-produced .by far the best covers of dan songs ive heard .actually one of favourite albums of all time .
i was wondering if other people on this forum have it and their opinion on this must-have record ...
everlasting love desperate man blues silly love museum of love love not dead love wheel happy talk walking the cow favourite darling girl like a monkey in the zoo bloody rainbow grievances
i dont think it could get any better than the sparkling collaboration with mark linkous ,really . but you're right a dave-fridman-produced album , with the flaminglips, that would be awesome . or mercury rev ,right?
but, what i would really love is hearing a duet of daniel with a girl.i dont know if hes done that before . maybe nina persson, kathy mc carty(obviously),lisa germano..
