Yeah. This is definitely not a cd you can just leave in the player and let it keep running. Not too good for random play either.  :-D

Frito Lay is awesome. Could he get in trouble from the company? Actually it's so catchy and positive, I could easily see them wanting to use it in their ads.

Electric Ghosts-
I loved what I heard at the Important Records site (3 songs) and ordered it. I love what Jack Medicine has done in the past. I think he is definately under-rated.

Also a wonderful cover of Daniel as Batman!!!

I was in a band with "Jack" for a while, a few years ago when he still lived in Brooklyn, called "Dead Chasing Love". It ended when the drummer moved to Europe (Italy, I think). We had one gig, at Tonic on the Lower East Side before the drummer left. "Jack" brought his dog to the show. The songs were his, and they sounded very much like the ones he wrote for Electric Ghosts. You don't have to check the liner notes to know which are his and which are Daniel's-- their styles are so different. I like to tease him about how he sings with an English accent. He's from Colorado.

WOAH! The artwork alone is worth getting this. "Blue Skies Will Haunt You From Now On" is certainly different.

Yeah great album and the artwork is excellent. nice to know Ron English still got to contribute.
Frito-Lay is a great song. However, and this this may sound a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway, what is/are Frit O'lay???

a soda, right? We don't have it here so. I guess Daniel gave a character that name in the song because he likes it.

Frito Lay is a company that mostly makes potato chips (or crisps, on the other side of the pond). They used to be two companies... fritos were corn chips and lays were potato chips. I think they own the doritos brand as well, but I'm pretty sure they're a subsidiary of pepsico themselves. I guess you could google if you're really curious.

I've been drinking Choc full o'nuts all morning and playing "Electric Ghosts." I love it.

Nice knowing, (from straining my eyes reading the nearly unreadable liner notes) that this CD is a "teaser" for the full record which Daniel wants to call "Phantoms of the Lost Girlfriends," to be finished by next summer.

Good job, Mr. Goede.
By the way, after hearing the "hidden" track, I have to ask:

How the HELL did you get ANY SLEEP? Jeez-us!

Replying to my own posts. Is that necessarily a bad thing?

Anyway, I found an interesting use for track 9 (9+ minutes of Daniel snoring and other apparent sleep apnea sounds)

It is now my answering machine message.

Man, you'd have to REALLY REALLY want to leave a message!!!

Heard "Blue Skies Will Haunt You From Now On" on the radio yesterday. WFMU I think. The best of Don's songs on the record, IMO.

I take it this is much better than the Hyperjinx Triangle album?  I only played that album once... I wasn't a fan of it, put it that way.

I was a bit disappointed aswell when I got the the hyperjinx tricycle album. The first song is great and the second is good aswell but the rest I didn't care too much for. I havn't had the privilege to hear the electric ghost album yet but from what I've heard it's difinitely a better album. It's worth buying only for Sweetheart (Frito Lay) and Row Boat in my opinion.
