I'm gonna try and make it, Henry. I don't remember Wilmington very well - though I used to go down there every year for Jerimiah's sale. Is the theater downtown or on the outskirts? How's parking?

Dude!

Jerimiah's was shut down maybe 4 years ago. Bootleg cops. However, Emma and I live 1 minute away from its front door.

If you can get to Jerimiah's, you can get to our house. The theater is 10 minutes away, downtown by the Dupont building. Email me. I'll hook you up!

Nice Henry! I am waiting for the film to show here in the Pittsburgh area. You would think it would show here since Daniel played his first gig at a place called the Electric Banana here in the early 80's.

What a way to celebrate 05/05/06...Daniel Johnston Day!

Today is the official kickoff of Danfest '06, with 13 original pieces of his art (from my collection) on display at Theatre N at Nemours in downtown Wilmington. Hung in the same exact theater which will be showing "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" May 19th, 20th and 21st.

(Personally I think the overall work is superior to the pieces which hung in NYC at the Whitney Biennial, but it's hard to be objective)

This is the first time ever they've had an art exhibit on the walls of their lush, plush, acousticly perfect theater. I'm not sure they know what to make of it.

The art is up for the rest of the month, but Danfest never ends....
