Hi,

does anybody out there know of any sites that have many, if not all of Daniel's song lyrics? I am especially thinking about his earlier stuff and of lyrics that were not already printed in the booklets of the accompanying CDs. I already have the "Hi, how are you" book by Tarssa Yazdani which has the lyrics to 47 songs (a book I do highly recommend to any Daniel Johnston fan!).

Cheers!

Oliver
(waiting for his chance to see Daniel live in Germany ...)

Don't think you'll find a better spot than the official companion to this site:

http://rejectedunknown.com/lyrics/index.htm

Then again, there are some mighty obsessive individuals on the web, so you might wanna search further.

(As far as seein' Dan in Germany, be nice to him! When I called him on the phone less than two months ago and asked what was up as far as touring this summer, he said "Oh, I did more than enough of that last year! I'll be relaxing at home mostly this summer, unless maybe my brother knows of some dates somewhere he hasn't gotten around to mentioning yet."

Ever since then, it's like Daniel oughhta have his own Concorde to manage getting him to all the places he's a'going!

They laughed when I sat down at the piano.
They didn't think that I could play.
But their laughter turned to amazement,
When I got back up and carried it away...
