I do "right now" -  for the time being that is.  It's not a secure, reliable income by any means.  I had a solo show at the end of last summer, and am currently part of a big group show that's doing very well.  Throw in a couple of commissions, and I get to paint full time.  I have a couple of grants pending that will determine for how much longer.
