Online version of the artwork on discovered covered album?

i am not sure yet if i will get the CD at all(don´t really like covers).

The Tribute has 2 CDs - 18 covers, 18 ORIGINALS of Daniels (so unless you have all of Daniel's albums, you'll probably get new Daniel stuff) Plus a NEW song from Daniel called "Rock This Town", and a MUSIC VIDEO form of that song.

I think it would be great if i(and everybody else) could check out that art offered and act on october 1.st when the art will be for sale without having to buy the CD just yet.
What do you think?

I think it would be great if milk didn't spoil, rash words could be retracted, and music was free!!!!    Go buy the tribute CD.   It's 15.98 for 37 tracks, for pete's sake.

And the COVERS ARE UNBELIEVABLE!   You won't say "I don't like Covers" after this.  You'll be playing the COVER CD over and over and over.  I promise.

Well I'm not Monkey Man and I wasn't going to sign on again to post tonight as I'd like to sleep on some of the things that have already been said but isn't this the song that was removed from the original version of Rejected Unknown at Daniel's parents' insistance?   I've also seen a live performance aired on local cable a few times over the years so perhaps that's how MM knew the lyrics.

Wow , there seem to be a lot of passions running high around here.

I can't say that I get a lot of it, since..

a. I'm a recent convert to DJ's music and art, am still in the first flush of discovery

b. I don't live in Austin. (sorry that wasn't meant to sound bad but sometimes I wonder if there's a bit of local mud-slinging going on...)

c. Anyway ,

d. I ordered the Tribute CD today and will probably buy some artwork if I get the chance from the CD or otherwise...

e. All this publicity has got to be good.

I work in the media relations field in the uk and may I suggest the following British media outlets, they'd love it ... BBC Radio 6 ('6 music') ,maybe BBC radio 3,  The Guardian newspaper , MOJO magazine, UNCUT magazine , the NME (weekly music paper), but I'm sure Gammon records / Sketchbook (uk distributors?) have got this covered...

f. I'm writing this under the influence of a couple of beers, before going out on a Friday night, and would just like to Stress (no pun intended), that I'm so knocked out by Daniel's music and art. Long may he continue, and please come over to the UK again . (come to Cardiff, capital city of Wales, there are a few clubs which would welcome with open arms...)

Damn, i been gone too long all i gotta say anyone who rips this cd and does not go about buying it the legal way is a asshole!! Whether you like covers or not if you are a true fan of Daniels and you rip this cd you are not only cheating him but yourself and the spirit of what the was made in. I hope when you rip it your computer gets infected with a thousand virus's and blows up and leaves a gaping whole in your ceiling and it pisses down rain and ruins all the Daniel Johnston cds you bought (legally) and you have to go buy them all over again!! Dejected is 100% correct! This is NOT the place to talk about ****ing Daniel out of his well deserved coin!!

I have been very outspoken on this tribute/benefit album from the get go and i have aired my concerns about the cover,promotions,etc. And if i stepped on some toes tough ****,i am just thinking about Daniel and that he gets his just rewards.
Jeff, I really like you and i know you have Daniels best interest at heart but i think its time we focus on the future and stop the mud-slinging although it makes for a great read it just dont help Daniel out at all and it opens the gate for alot of negativity,that at this point in time is not needed.

Jordy, I have contacted my local record store in this small college town that i live in and they will let me put up some promo stuff but time is ticking away should we not get on the ball and get that stuff out and up? I was expecting it around July what gives? I know it will help and am willing to do my part but i cant do it if its not here! I am looking forward to it and the cd! I am sure it will be worth it.

Well, I've further edited that post, leaving the points that need to remain:

Each person who rose to play a role in the course of events in Daniel's life deserves the credit for that part.   I don't care what they say or do, I will always give honor where honor is due.

Right now, the honor (do I need to be this blunt?) is due to Jordan Trachtenberg - an underdog in the industry (hey, aren't we supposed to root for the under dog? - isn't that what alternate and indie is at the core?).  

Jordon Trachtenberg made this happen.   Thank you, Jordy, for your sacrificial efforts.   Our hats off to you.

I have many times - and still do - suffer real abuse from people who don't seem to have a clue what they are doing, or they are enjoying it and know exactly what they are doing.  These people DEPEND upon the politeness of others to allow them free reign in their malice.

Yesterday, I stopped being polite.   Today I will seek to resume that courtesy.
