I think most of them are done at 2400hz MONO 96 kps - as a compromise between quality and file size.   I've learned that many fans - especially overseas - don't have high-speed connections - and I try to accommodate that with simpler pages and smaller file sizes.

We'll take this into consideration, though - have to get back with you on this...

Cheddarcat - click on the word "MP3" above the song for a list of songs and where it came from - "Nothing" comes from the 1999 Berlin show which is on the album "Why Me?".

2000 tapes.  Thats a lot.  You should make them available "Grateful Dead" style.  All it will do is increase interest in Daniel, and make the stuff he does sell more valuable.

Plus I'd love to start listening to them.

Would it be possible to put it on the Internet Archive? I am a big fan of the Dead, and some other bands who have thousands of shows there. Just an idea, I don't really know what the pros and cons would be...

Wow, here's a topic from the past! It seems like such a long time ago...

I miss the first few months of the site, when it was exciting to have some new Daniel music every couple of weeks.

I long ago offered to take over the reigns in the up-load department (I have plenty of material here), but I wouldn't (and couldn't) do this without official permission and support. Perhaps Daniel's people (or Daniel himself) no longer wish to give his material away (even though much of it obviously has negligable commercial appeal). It also seems strange to have the Stress tapes off the market -- how weird is THAT? It's like the last record store in the area closing down (oops, that's happened TOO)...!

Well, in any case, I hope 2007 is another great year for Daniel, his family - and for all of us as well smiley.

Hi Dick,

I am assuming that the MANY tapes are not ALL music...as Dan taped us talking during my first visit with him...and I GUESS he did that with other's too?

So, IF you happen upon the tape Dan made of he and I talking during my first visit with him (Aug 6th, 2005), I would enjoy receiving that one - thanks. Gina
