Okay. He swept the Oscars, and deservedly so. Now he's working on bringing the story of King Kong to the Silver Screen for the 3rd time, and with the same people from the Lord of the Rings trilogy in his corner, I am certain Peter Jackson will pull it off (as oppossed to the rather embarrassing late 70's remake)...
So now is the time for D.J. fans of the world to unite, and petition Mr. Jackson to include Daniel's "King Kong" (from Yip/Jump Music) on the film in some manner, whether used in the actual movie, or just released on the soundtrack.
Personally, I would like to see Daniel perform this stunning piece of post-modern poetry in the film itself as a voice over or during the trailers.
Short of that happening, however, I do think there is a chance of it actually being considered. Maybe somebody over there at Johnston Headquarters (U.S. Division) should send a tape of "King Kong" to the appropriate filmdom powers that be.
I'll try to get info on such an endeavor...be it his agent, studios, lawn guy, personal groomer, whatever. I am sure somebody out there has some kind of access to Mr. Jackson. Let's get him! If anyone knows of any connection, post here. We'll come up with a short and sweet introduction and campaign on behalf of our candidate for inclusion on "King Kong!"
Oh, by the way guys, I am flattered and somewhat speechless as to my Member of the Month status. Thanks! I even called Mom. "Well, that's nice," she said.
