In the discography they say that we can hear Daniel sing in the movie.
But which one ? Could not be the first (it's from 1974).

I wish someone would figure that out.

Try starting with this link:

http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Palms/6923/tcm.html

The song that is used is from the album 1990 "Careless Soul" - so it has to be something out of the 90's.

It's either the closing credits or part of one of the massacre scenes.

If you can identify which one could possibly be it, then rent it and make sure....

Well, this isn't exactly news so I thought most fans knew about this.
I havn't seen the films myself but I think it's pretty big that Daniel has a song in the film. Pitty it's not a song that Daniel has written himself.
Like there are not enough good songs he's written to choose from!!??

As it was explained to me, the song "Careless Soul" (a hymn by J Stanley) was used in Texas Chainsaw Massacre #n -

The words of the song include the line "prepare to meet thy God" and Daniel's eerie wavering, emotional voice suited their purpose.

this is gotta be untrue that would have made daniel like 13 years old when the movie was released. he would be younger then that during the making of i am sure!

Of course.  It cannot be the original 70's movie - it is one of the spin offs - done in the early to mid 90-s.    I have heard this from credible sources, but I have yet to identify which of the remakes it is in.

I've rented every one I can find - and they all fall outside that date range.

The 1994 one, with Austin musician Robbie Jacks (R.I.P.) as Leatherface, is no doubt what's being referred to. On the IMDB board for the film, several people have recently been asking about songs from the film, and all the answers have been Austin bands.

Personally, I'm pretty sure I remember a Dan song being rather hilariously obvious in the film, but I'n not gonna sit thru that turkey again to prove it...

Okay, one of the folks over at the IMDB confirmed from the movie's closing credits that yes indeed, Daniel's performance of "Careless Soul" can be heard in the 1994 "Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre" with Renee Zellweger and Matthey "Butt Bongo" MacConaughey.

Thank you for the answer.
Despite Daniel, I'm not sure this movie is good enough for seeing it.
