Has anyone ever seen Sonic Youth's "Teenage Riot" video? I believe there is a small video clip of Daniel Johnston playing a little acoustic guitar. I'm sorry if this may come as old news to some, but I'm new! embarassed

Um....Yes I have seen the video but I have not seen dan in the Vid.... all I see (no offense) is a bunch of kids on stage and such....if you see him let me know...and dejected of course lol.

By the way I'm a huge Sonic Youth fan.....

LOL....I must be outta my mind.  I was thinking of the dirty boots video.  And your right there is a very quick shot of Dan playing an accustic guitar.  Looks like it's around the 1990 album.

Bummer - you got my hopes up. I was hoping the footage of Daniel in "Tenage Riot" might have been a snippet from the "Nic Fit" video that him and me shot for MTV's "Make Sonic Youth's Next Video" contest that they sponsored when "Dirty" came out. The guy who edited it lost all the raw footage when a stupid airline permanently replaced ALL his luggage during a move, so the only POSSIBLE way a copy still exists is if the band still has kept all those awful fan-made music videos from 1992. If they recognized Daniel in it, I'm sure they would've hung onto it, but I have no idea how those things were judged or how many zillion entries they got. I do remember that ours was better than the one that won.

Of course, we picked "Nic Fit" cuz the song was under a minute long and we were lazy...
