what is the general opinion of yves? seems from the book "hi,how are you" that alot of his interest in daniel seemed to have been only self serving, like pushing him into the studio when he was not ready. the video that cost daniel almost all his advance money,that was not ever going to be aired by anyone. whats the scoop on this guy?

My take from reading the book was that Daniel's change in management to Tom Gimble had as much to do with Atlantic's lack of success as anything Yves did or did not do.

I would have to agree with the last post, and add that with all the research I've done on Daniel Johnston, it seems to me that breaking off with Jeff Tartakov as his manager was the worst thing he could've done for his career.
