Does anyone know what songs he played?

The first was 'Mean Girls' but I'd never heard the second one before and it was possibly the saddest song I've ever heard in my life.

I don't even remember any of the lyrics other than he says 'mama' in it and it's not 'Joy Without Pleasure' or 'My Baby Cares For The Dead'.  I'm sure it was fairly recent.

Can someone from Canada rip this off the clips off the MTV site and upload it to youtube or something? It appears you can't even play the clips online if you live in the US.

That's the song.  'Sense Of Humor'

God, that's a great song.  Once I hear a studio version, it might place in my DJ top five.

I agree with you guys. This (new song?) "Sense Of Humor" is pretty damn good. When he hits that "Ohhh,Mama" part ... I was done for.Amazing.

Does anybody know if this really is something new? Possibly a track from an upcoming album? I'd love to know. Thanks!

"Hold on, Mama..." cry

I don't know about you guys, but his new songs (Mask, Mean Girls, and now Sense of Humor) to me show just how great Daniel is. His songwriting is just as fruitful as it was in 82. If he put out a new album with these songs - solo/acoustic- it would be the the most heart-wrenching record made in the last ten years.

I believe some of the above-mentioned songs are not on any release,
but are new ones Daniel has written, perhaps even just for this tour.
They may be "in the can" awaiting production, as Daniel has said he has about 5 records already done (written, figured out, ready to perform) and waiting.

There have been instances in the past where the time between a song played on a tour and the time one actually hears it on a commercial release has been years. Like 3 or 4. Usually the song titles stay the same, but unless he says at the concert, "This song is called ..." you really have no way of knowing.

Interesting marketing. Rather than tour in support of something he's already done, he'd rather tour to support something which has yet to see the light of day.

But you know, I'm sure he finds it all the more interesting that way.

richtupica- Thank you so much for the videos! I'll see what I can do about those groceries. Send me a private email. I may have something you'd enjoy grin

Henry, Got any Pop Tarts?!!

Glad you all liked the vids, it was a GREAT SHOW! I stood infront of the stage for over 2 hours before Dan came on, to ensure I had a great view! It was worth it!
