How's Daniel

I love Daniel.  Discovered him from his movie and fell in love with his crazy genius.  Last i heard he had finally moved into his own place, anyone have any new info?

I would love to know that he is making it in his own place.  I have a nephew in sort of the same place Daniel was for a long time, except he doesn't have talent, and i sometimes wonder if he will ever move out of his parents house.

I guess that means he has his own place.  I'm glad.  I love Daniel.  So funny that he lost his teeth, well not really, but you know, it's so Daniel.

I used to write him often, but no response, i guess i'll write him again one of these days.  His movie really struck a nerve in me. 

I also have his undiscovered cover c.d., and when you actually hear other people do his music, you realize how great he is.

I also bouth a print of his, him at the piano, of course with no top on his head, saying He's dreaming of Star doom.  I love it.  Got it here in Houson as his art display.

i also just learned about Daniel last week when i rented The Devil and Daniel Johnston and after watching it 4 times before i returned it i have to say i've been affected. in a major way.  i still cannot at this time, describe in words the way it made me feel; how he makes me feel or the way i can relate on so many levels.

I believe some came out during the encounter with the police, while trying to sub-due him during the break-from-reality, that occured in the creek(?) in Austin (that's in the film, but not the part about him losing some teeth from it)...

...the rest, I imagine were lost to bad dental hygiene, not uncommon with severe manic-depressives, unfortunately.

I also just rented this movie last week and have watched it probably 4 times or so myself. (including w director comments, all special features, etc) Needless to say it also made a huge impact on me. I've already ordered his "greatest hits" album and plan to order more asap! His story is moving to me in a very personal and real way, and I'm just highly surprised that I hadn't heard of him before now. (Especially with the sort of music I am in to.)
The past 2 years have been very good to me in terms of finding great music! I hope this trend continues!
Daniel Johnston is incredible! I'm lucky to have found out about him!
